But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.

We have all heard of “fake news.” But what is it? The news reporters gather information, whether this is factual information or not, we have no idea, but only some of the information is presented – the information that matches the agenda of the media outlet. The rest of the information is discarded as “alternate facts.” This is done without any pangs to their collective consciences. They are doing the country a favor by not muddying the water with the thought that what they just presented is nothing but a pack of lies. But “fake news” goes beyond that. The media outlets analyze the news to say what the new development means, yet they are not prophets, other than to manipulate the public into having what they say happen. No, the media outlets consider the public to be so stupid that they cannot take the news as given – just the facts – and draw their own conclusion. So, in analyzing for the public, they have insulted everyone that reads, hears or sees the news. Yet, there is a problem with the education system.
I have been praying for the education system of the USA, and I have wondered how it could have gone so terribly wrong. And this C. S. Lewis quote, in a small way, has pointed me to the problem. Actually, a lightbulb came on and I immediately thought of the Lewis quote above, but how to fix it short of blowing up the system… Although, I am highly trained in explosives, I do not mean blowing it up literally.
But maybe a few examples are necessary. In American History, the Revolutionary War is taught in the modern schoolroom as being an economic issue only. Yes, things, especially sinful things, boil down to money most of the time. If you watch to David Barton’s videos, it was more to do with religious freedom than purely an economic issue. And the principles of our Constitution, according to what is now taught has nothing to do with Christian teaching, but the Constitution is based on a variety of writings, most highly referencing Scripture, and about a third of the Constitution is directly from Scripture. Even the phrase, ‘division of church and state,’ does not exist in the first amendment, just the prohibition of creating a national religion. Jefferson, in a letter to reassure some people that the government would never create a national religion, mentions the ‘separation of church and state’ to reassure people who feared such a thing. Otherwise, our founding fathers never mentioned the phrase.
In fact, the first legislation to promote education was known as the “Old Deluder Law” and it named the old deluder as Satan in its preamble. Education in America was founded upon teaching the Bible to prevent false doctrine from the pulpit and bad laws being enacted by the government.
So how did we get to the point where courthouses are covering or tearing down the Ten Commandments all over the country and you cannot mention Jesus in many places without getting into trouble? Hold onto that thought.
Let’s consider “science” and the age of the earth. Enter Charles Lyell. He was a lawyer who joined the geological society, not from training, but he had interest in the topic. He also had a motive. He learned enough to write a text on geology, Principles of Geology. In the book, he states that rocks were formed, requiring millions of years in which to reach the state that they are today. Today was 1830-33 for him. He cited no data. He cited no research. He just used his lawyer skills to be very emotionally compelling in his arguments. In spite of no data or research, (worse than fake news – he had no facts) people started quoting his book and using it is proof as they dug holes in the ground. In their view with Lyell’s compelling arguments, there were literally “mountains of evidence,” but no data, scientific experiments, or evidence that those mountains were that old. What was Lyell’s motive? In his words, he wanted to free science from Moses. In other words, he wanted people to question the Bible with regard to Creation, and in time question the validity of the entire text. He wanted to destroy Christianity from within. How many well-meaning Christians ignore the first eleven chapters of Genesis because it make them uneasy and quoting from those chapters makes them feel foolish. We can blame Lyell, but he worked for the Master of Lies.
Charles Darwin read Lyell’s book and was enraptured. All his evolution theories would never work if the world was not millions of years old, and the Biblical text points to a world between 6,000 and 7,000 years old.
Yet today, when a true scientist makes a discovery that proves evolution wrong or discovers rocks that are younger than expected, the evidence is ignored in favor of a theory with no repeatable scientific evidence to back it up. I was never allowed in science class, of any kind, to make a statement unless I had repeatable evidence to prove what I was saying. Now, if you have lawyers and politicians on your side, you can say anything with no proof at all. How can this be? Let’s hold that thought also.
C. S. Lewis gave the answer in a children’s fantasy novel. We do not teach logic in these schools. Yes, I made straight 100+ in graduate level Logic in college and got a “C”, because I was not a Philosophy major and I was making them look bad. But no bitterness, no bitterness, maybe a little buried deep. But rather than call the course “Logic,” might we call it “Critical Thinking?” We teach children to memorize. We teach children to pass a standardized test. But do we teach them to think?
What I am saying is that the entire nation, and in some cases the world, has indeed become insane. We have lawyers and politicians making claims about global warming and how to fix it, about the religions of the founding fathers and what they meant when they ratified the first amendment while ignoring the writings of those same people, about the age of the earth, about the origins of man… And they make compelling arguments, not having a clue what they are saying, because if you follow the rules of Logic (which has some really good rules because they make sense) you see that what is being said either does not make sense or is a pack of lies. And all of these arguments come from the same source, Satan, the Master of Lies.
How do they get away with it? Logic, basic reasoning, or critical thinking is not being taught in schools. What is taught in schools? If you know Bloom’s Taxonomy, you have a triangle with basic facts at the bottom as the foundation and synthesis of knew knowledge at the top. Schools are lucky to teach a portion of the bottom two levels, basic facts and the descriptions of those facts. In some small portion, they might teach the explanation of the significance of those facts – yet merely as memorization, not critical thinking. Forget teaching the analysis of the facts.
And by the way, Bloom attended a conference where someone had unearthed the writings of an ancient great, never before published. I think it was Thomas Aquinas, but I am not sure. Bloom left the conference excited about something he had read in the writings and was the first to publish, thus forevermore to be known as Bloom’s Taxonomy, when Bloom contributed nothing of note, just published it first.
I am not blaming these lawyers and politicians for spreading lies. They simply have an agenda, and the “scientists” who feed them the carefully crafted lies to tell, or the historians for the history part, have their agenda, making money. The scientists and historians know that saying something against the agenda of the lawyers and politicians cuts your money off.
Why is this unfixable without blowing it up? I was taught some reasonably factual things in school back 50 years ago, but there was probably some careful lies that filtered into my education. I was not exposed to evolution, global warming causes and fixes, history without mentioning Christianity and its role, etc. But the generations since then have been fed the propaganda of the liberal, secular worldview. Since I am retired and most of my classmates are retired, the schools are filled with people that have been brainwashed by this pack of lies, and they are blinded by it, believing that their teachers had taught them well.
Ask anyone who has been thoroughly brainwashed by the propaganda. They would laugh as they read this article. They would say that I was a Neanderthal who could not see the mountain of evidence, but I would like to challenge them, for them to show unequivocal proof that there is evidence without using the lies perpetrated in the 19th century and repeated as the source of knowledge ever since. Even Madame Curie’s scientific “evidence” has been proven to have multiple errors in it based on false assumptions. I don’t blame her. You must start somewhere and when you are charting new ground, you start by making assumptions and then trying to prove them true. She made assumptions. Came up with conclusions without proving the assumptions, and then the people with an agenda, took her results away before she could go back to prove that her assumptions were correct. She would have found her errors, or was she among those with an agenda?
You cannot just state that a rock layer is from the Jurassic period and the millions of years that represents. Prove it. The science will not hold up.
Just because the Supreme Court interpreted the first amendment as it is interpreted today, does that prove the founding fathers meant what is happening to America today. Benjamin Rush, the first great educator of the US, prophesied that if we removed the Bible from our schools, we would get what we are now experiencing, an increase in crime and a waste of time and resources fighting crime. Now to the point that our crime fighting force is being brought into question. The founding fathers had every intention of leaving God in government, even to the point of commissioning the first English translation of the Bible in the USA and teaching people to read so that they could interpret the Bible without totally relying upon the preacher.
God, and yes, even Jesus, was the foundation that our founding fathers used to build our Constitution. And they said we need the checks and balances in the Constitution to prevent a destruction of our nation by corrupt forces, because they knew that we would one day stoop that low. Both George Washington and Alexander Hamilton quote Jeremiah 17:9 in their writings. “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” And those forces are with us, many elected and serving in office now.
I call on America to THINK and all people for that matter. Use logic; even if you are an emotional person, you have some ability. If you don’t think, the evil in this country and the world, orchestrated by the Master of Lies, will consume all. Yes, God has defeated Satan, but Satan’s ends are to take as many as possible with him. And even after the end of this world, Satan will be cast into the fire along with those who follow him.
And the elect will live forever with Jesus.
