In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.

Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

One of my favorite television shows is Hard Questions on the Cornerstone Television Network. They have several ways of getting questions from viewers and many of the questions are indeed hard questions to answer. Sometimes, the four pastors get emotional, passionate about their answers, but they always try to answer them from the Bible.
The only place in the Scriptures that talks of “hard questions” is the story of question four in the quiz. We do not know the questions, only that the person being asked was able to answer them all.
Sometimes, we have hard questions, and there is no panel of pastors available to answer the questions. When I was about to have two surgeries in a two and a half week period, I surged ahead on my writing. The last time that I skipped a day was when I have kidney stones the last time, in 2018. So, I was almost three weeks ahead of schedule.
But then, the second of these two procedures did not work completely. The same procedure had to be repeated two weeks later. And in the meantime, I came down with two infections. The urinary infection was of little consequence to how I felt, but the sinus infection was the worst that I have had since high school. I hardly looked at the computer for a full week and a half.
The result was that I was less than a week ahead when I finally got back to writing after the last catheter was removed. I find it nearly impossible to write while having a dilation catheter in place – too hard to sit down without a lot of pain.
I could have asked God a lot of questions, but I only came up with one. God, I have that feeling that I am behind. I do not like this feeling. Can you help me with the feeling and with my writing once I am back up to my usual routine? No more questions for now because God always has a purpose, so asking the why can wait.

Do you have a lot of questions that you want God to answer when you get to Heaven?
They could be theological questions that kind of take care of themselves when we are in His presence. Maybe you wonder about who really assassinated JFK. You might want to know where in Heaven your grandmother is.
I like the old joke about the first two questions that we will ask when we get to Heaven: “Where is so-and-so?” and “What is THAT person doing here?” It is a cautionary joke in that God makes those decisions and we do not, but then our sin nature is gone, and we understand the ‘why’ of God better. So, we might not ask either of those questions.
But the more that I ponder being in a big bear hug with Jesus, I wonder if I will have any questions at all.
I might be in that bear hug for a few months, or however time is handled in Heaven, and Jesus might ask, “I came over to answer your questions.” And I might just answer, “Maybe after we hug for a few more months.”
Ask questions? That might be the furthest thing from our minds when we are in the presence of Almighty God.
But while here on earth, we have questions and as the first song below says, “It’s okay to have questions.”
