He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
- Revelation 22:20
“Afterwards the students came up and we had coffee. One said to me, ‘I would love to ask Jesus to come into my heart, but I cannot. I am a Jew.’
“I said, ‘You cannot ask Jesus into your heart because you are a Jew? Then you do not understand that with the Jew (Jesus) in your heart-you are a double Jew.’
“He said, ‘Oh, then it is possible?’
“ ‘On the divine side He was God’s Son. On the human side He was a Jew. When you accept Him you do not become a Gentile. You become even more Jewish than before. You will be a completed Jew.‘ ”
- Corrie ten Boom, Tramp for the Lord
Corrie ten Boom spends the penultimate chapter of her book on the End Times.
While she spoke at an unnamed university, she was filled with the Spirit to get off topic. The professor had told the students that she would talk about Christianity in practice, but as she started talking and reading the body language in the room, she started talking about Jesus Himself. Afterwards, the Jewish boy approached and accepted Jesus after Tante Corrie basically said that Jesus was a Jew, and it was okay.
But later in the chapter, she talked about people in the early 1970s, about the time of the Jesus Movement. People were looking for spiritual answers to life. While some found the answers in Jesus, many kept looking elsewhere, rejecting Jesus and going deeper and deeper into the occult, starting with something seemingly innocent like tarot cards, astrology, mind science, and fortune telling. She went on to talk about how the Antichrist will come and create a world with one religion, with him as its head.
She talked about how Jesus had already guaranteed the victory, but the tribulation would be hard for those people who were left.
Everyone would have their excuses, but all the excuses revolved around one thing, their rejection of Jesus Christ.
She wept for the world in the 1970s. And those that see that we are even closer to the End Times weep for the world now.
But there is still time. Billy Graham preached that our time is now. We are not guaranteed tomorrow. If you hear Jesus calling you, open the door of your heart and let Him in. There may not be another tomorrow for you.
No excuses. It is just you and Jesus.
Lord, strengthen me. I am a sinner. I fall short of Your glory every day. You died to save me. You may have saved countless others, but if I were the only one, You would have endured the cross to save me. I have no more excuses, Jesus. I surrender myself to You, Lord. Do with me as You wish. I am Yours. In Your name I pray. Amen.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
