Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord, you his servants;
praise the name of the Lord.
Let the name of the Lord be praised,
both now and forevermore.
From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
the name of the Lord is to be praised.
- Psalm 113:1-3
“The Lord is our God. He does not bow to our hurried pace, but in silence he waits for us to meet his demands. And once we slow down enough to meet him, yeah that should be He is pleased to add incredible spiritual depth to our shallow lives.”
- Charles R. Swindoll, Bedside Blessings
Are we in a hurry? Usually.
Are we demanding? Usually.
Do we like to wait? Absolutely not, or is that just me?
But then again, I like silence until it becomes creepy.
Even then, God has the patience and stamina to outlast my Joy in silence to the point where it becomes double creepy.
But the sad thing is that we meet God there.
If we praise God from sunrise to sunset, maybe God will reveal His “demands” or really, His perfect plan for us, without all the barriers that we place between us and our listening to God.
Sorry, not much to say. Just a random thought.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
