- 1 Chronicles 16:23

- Revelation 7:10

This quiz is a mystery expression quiz. The mystery expression should be familiar, two five-letter words. All the questions have answers that people’s names. Answer these questions and the first letter of each of their names in English will provide the expression. As usual, if you get enough of the answers correct, you may solve the “not much of a mystery” expression. Then this gives you the first letter of the unanswered questions’ answers.
The questions all come from the Old Testament and half from the New Testament. But the “not much of a mystery” expression, at least in concept, is a New Testament thing. But the two words only appear in one verse of the Bible, and even then, not stated as is commonly stated.
The Questions:
| Question | Bible References | Answers | ||

| 3 | Who was the first man named king of Israel who was a head taller than the others? | |||

| 9 | Who was the father of Phinehas and Hophni who was judge and priest over Israel when the answer to question 5 was dedicated to God’s service? | |||
| 10 | Who was king over all Israel and asked God for the wisdom needed to govern the people fairly? |
These words may not be in this order in a single sentence in the Bible, but I have said those words as a sentence many times.
There is more than one song by that two-word title. In fact, all four videos at the end of this post have that two-word title.
It is a Truth that is kind of redundant. The first word means the second, in a way.
And all history, which is HIS Story, all else hangs on those two words.

When I became a member of the Lay Witness Mission Team in northern Mississippi. I bought two strips of canvas that would go from bumper to bumper on my old Volkswagen bug. The bug was yellow because it was a lemon. The canvas was tan. Two words, the “not so mysterious” expression were painted in blood red paint.
Since the banners covered the doors, I had to be prepared. I had to plan before I tied the banners around the car. I rolled the window down. I put the banners around the car, and then I crawled in the window similar to how the NASCAR drivers get in their car, but I had to maneuver around the steering wheel. NASCAR has a steering wheel that can easily be detached to give the driver more room. I was skinny back then.
The church may have advertised that the Lay Witness team would be in town, but once I arrived, those that had not heard stopped when I drove by, rolling down my window, smiling, waving at folks, and yelling those two words. You know, “Just in case they didn’t read them.”

The not so mysterious expression is JESUS SAVES.
Jesus means God saves. So, it is a bit redundant, but repetition helps the idea soak in better.
What is the verse that contains both words?
“and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,”
- 1 Peter 3:21
