While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
- Matthew 17:5
As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,

I got a strange idea for a quiz, and the more I thought about it, the harder the quiz became, and it started to give me a headache.
So, I went back to my simple idea. I picked ten Bible verses that have the word love in them. I then extracted the word love with two other words. The other two words could be before the word love, after the word love, or there could be one word before and one word after the word love.
In other words, each answer is three words and one of the three words is “love.”
The verses come from each of the first ten books of the New Testament which have the word love in them. Big hint here: There is only one book in the New Testament that does not mention the word “love.”
All verses come from the NIV.
There are two blanks in question 4. The same words, in the same order are used twice in this verse. Sorry, no extra credit for filling in both blanks.

| Word list in alphabetical order (divided by semicolons) |
| Christ’s love compels; from the love; is love, joy; love one another; love your enemies; love your wives; not have love; the same love; who love you; whom I love |
What could make this more complicated would be to have a mystery expression made up of the letters that begin the words that are before love and the letters that end the words that are after love. But just writing that instruction down makes the headache return.
I think a few of these verses are so well known that you might not need the word list for them, but some verses are a bit obscure. Substituting the three-word groups until one makes sense is another way to do it.

Okay, it should be obvious that the book that is skipped is the book of Acts.
There is a lot of love in the book of Acts. There are a lot of miracles in the book of Acts.
Paul had a large entourage at times. If there was not just a little love, they would have had more problems than they did have.
There are many ways to express love, and saying “I love you” is just one of them.
