This quiz is a fill in the blank quiz, but I will not provide a word list.  If you fill in the blanks for the twelve words into the template below, you will be quoting a familiar Bible verse.  Thus, you can work back and forth if you do not know the missing word for some of the verses.  The mystery verse has twenty words in it.  In the template below, I provide eight of the words and blanks for the other twelve.  The first verse in the questions has three blanks.  The remaining verses in the questions only have one blank.  All words from the questions are used in order.

The verses are in the order that they appear in the mystery verse.  There are three verses from the Old Testament and the mystery verse is from the New Testament.

A hint for this mystery verse is that it is often used in evangelism, focusing on the first half.  Then once that is understood, the second half leads to God’s redemption.

Sometimes when we think about God, accept God into our lives, or try to become more like Jesus, we make it so complicated.  I think the biggest part of making it complicated is that there is nothing that we can do to save ourselves.

Actually, there is one thing we can do.  It is not an active thing to do.  It is a negation of what we are doing.

We give up the rebellion against God.  We lay down our arms from the rebellion.  We give up holding the door so that God cannot come in.  Sure, God is all powerful, but God does not force Himself into our lives.  Those who are in Heaven are those who wanted to be in the presence of Almighty God forever.

Some of the verses in the questions are well known, but many are not among the top memory verses.  But I think some people might guess the right word.  Then the mystery verse could become obvious, and that verse should be well known.

I am always wanting people to think.  But then, if you make every quiz extremely hard, they might simply give up.

It is the same in life.  We face challenges and when the challenges get to be too difficult, we think about giving up.  But God is here.  God is near you.  With God inside you, we become strong enough to face those challenges.

Completing one of these quizzes is not a life or death decision, but as we go along our journey of faith, we will face challenges that have an element of life or death.  Always remember that we are weak and He is strong, as the old children’s song goes.

But that is not the end of the story.  God sent His Son to take our place when He died on the cross.  And Jesus returned from the dead to show us the way.  And the Holy Spirit comes along to be with us through the good times and the times that are far from good.
