“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
- Matthew 7:3-5
Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time?
- Luke 12:56
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
- James 1:22
On the day that I wrote this, I received a book that I ordered from a well-known online seller and deliverer. This company brags about how they are energy conscious and their fleet is mostly electrical vehicles.
I roll my eyes at the entire electrical vehicle craze. The batteries for these vehicles are made from rare earth metals. The mining of those rare earth metals pollutes the environment so much that the average consumer will trade in the car long before it breaks even with the environmental impact. And the numbers that I have seen suppose that the electrical power is one hundred percent renewable. If not, the electrical vehicles pollute more than they “save the environment.”
But the virtue signaling of using electrical delivery trucks is not the only thing.
My neighbor received a package from the same company three hours before I received my book. I did not mind the delay, but if you have a world class delivery system, why did two trucks leaving from the same distribution center at the same time have packages that would be delivered three hours apart to homes next door to one another?
The Scripture above from Matthew 7 is applicable here. There may have been extenuating circumstances, but to me, it is very fishy.
Does the CEO of the corporation travel commercial or on a private jet? Too many politicians go to gatherings of world leaders from all around the world to shame the average person who flies commercial with a hundred, and more, people he does not know. Their private jet exhaust is polluting the atmosphere on a per person basis a lot more.
And I have read the End Times prophecies. None speak of manmade Climate Change. This world will be judged by God before we destroy ourselves by our greed. Note: Most people arguing for Climate Change resolution use flawed science to scare us into using the measures that someone profits by. I am sure if you follow the money trail, you will discover such connections in many cases that leads to money in the politician’s pocket and others.
It is all a matter of not trusting God and God’s Word. And rather trusting flawed science and politicians that are fueled by power and greed.
And the virtue signaling delivery company can do a better job of scheduling deliveries. Or possibly not brag so much about how they are saving the planet, when they are not and cannot.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
