Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

“ ‘There is nothing more objective than the laws of arithmetic.’ – Gottlob Frege”
- Bryan Magee, The Story of Philosophy
“Good philosophy must exist, if for no other reason, because bad philosophy needs to be answered.”
- C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory
Gottlob Frege (1848-1925) was a German philosopher, logician, and mathematician. He is said to be the father of analytical philosophy. He made great strides in logic.
I was a bit upset when my friend identified me as an INFJ, with the “F” meaning that I based my value system on feelings rather than logic. Odd, I got my emotions up to argue that my emotions should take the backseat to logic. After all, I got perfect scores throughout an entire graduate level course on logic. No mistakes! Not even on the extra credit problems! But my emotional response proved him right.
These days, we send our young and brightest to college to be uneducated, or should that be de-educated, since uneducated means the lack there of? They have all this knowledge and then return home with only one pea in their brains functioning. That pea has them say repeatedly, “There is no such thing as objective truth.”
Sorry, but if I have an apple in each hand, I have two apples. If you do not believe in objective truth, let me sell these two apples to you for one thousand dollars each, and you can claim that you bought two truckloads of apples for a good price. I will be generous and throw in the toy trucks for free.
How can our so-called institutions of higher learning get away with that?
But two apples plus two more apples gets you four apples.
Now four apples plus an orange gets confusing. I was taught that you do not mix apples and oranges. From my years of working in the nuclear industry, I wondered that mixing one apple with one orange might create some kind of critical mass of fruit and the world will come to an end.
For those wanting Jesus to return, I am sure someone has tried that. Note the photograph above. I mixed four Cara Cara oranges with four Gala apples, Nothing happened. Hey! I tried.
But when I see countless television shows and documentaries about how nothing is objectively true, I turn to Jesus.
Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Him. Jesus is the Truth and the Truth will set us free.
Not having objective truth is a scary world.
Being in the arms of Jesus is the safest place in the world to be.
