Some people bad and some people good,
Too bad the bad can’t be like the good,
But everything changes a little and it should,
Good ain’t forever and bad ain’t for good
And Lou’s got the flu and he’s laid up, laid up, laid up,
Lou’s got the flu and he’s laid up,
Have to get well pretty soon though
I got sugar in my candy and sugar in my soup
I’m getting fat from the candy and sick from the soup
True love is sweet but if it’s mishandled
A bitter wind blows and out goes your candle
And Lou’s got the flu and he’s laid up, laid up, laid up,
Lou’s got the flu and he’s laid up,
Have to get well pretty soon though
Now not enough water puts thirst in a man
And just enough water puts joy in his land
But too much water will overflow
And tear the man’s land up, so there you go
And Lou’s got the flu
and he’s laid up, laid up, laid up,
Lou’s got the flu and he’s laid up,
Have to get well pretty soon though
- Roger Miller, Lou’s got the Flu
I was getting over my second bout of sinus infections this winter when my wife started coughing. She got very ill over the weekend, but felt fine on Monday. She fought going to the doctor.
She tested positive for Flu A. By this time, I was sick as a dog, but I tested negative. They think it was a false negative. And, yes, we both had flu shots.
But there was a problem. My wife’s heart rate was elevated. They did an EKG and sent her to the hospital for more tests. Then they kept her in the hospital. The heart rate is fine now, but the blood work is off.
In the meantime, I can barely type this.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
I’m sorry for this illness man. I’ll pray for your wife sir.

One spouse is sick, twice as bad when you both are. I thought something might be up since you haven’t posed as much lately. Get well soon and prayers for both of you❤️

I have a Deviled Yeggs story ready, but I might simply copy a quote or two for tomorrow. With the tami-flu and taking ibuprofen every six hours, I feel better today, but the energy comes only in small spurts and my wife may not get out of the hospital tomorrow, either. The cardiologist has drawn a line in the sand – 130 pulse or above for only a beat or two when walking to the nurse’s station, keeps her in for another day. We need prayer on that one.

You’ve got it, Mark. Both of you need to get well. If it means taking a break, do so. We’ll be waiting for you !

We’ve got Autumn because our son came down with the flu Monday— despite his having had a flu shot— we got the shingle shot Monday and both have had terrible reactions and are still babysitting— so much for all these shots!!!!! Feel better

We are now home. She still has A-fib, but the pulse is staying closer to normal.

I am going to tell her what you said, and soon before he has enough strength to throw something at me. Nah, she will just laugh or groan. Either are good compliments.
