News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them.
- Matthew 4:24
As this post is published, I hope to be coming home from the hospital with my wife. She has spent three nights in a quarantined area of the hospital with A-Fib (atrial fibrillation). She has had no signs of A-Fib since about the two-week point after her open-heart surgery. It returned with the flu. While she may have a rough sounding cough, she feels better and she’s able to eat a regular meal, just very weak. I eat crackers, but I was the only one of the two of us that had the gastric symptoms along with the coughing, etc.
My wife’s pulse spiked at 110 maximum this afternoon after her latest medication change, the lowest in three days. If she can do light exercise without a spike over 130 beats per minute tomorrow, she can be released.
I thank everyone for their prayers, and if my head is any more clearer than it is now, I might be back to my usual posts by tomorrow or Saturday, maybe even with a visit from Deviled Yeggs.
Jesus is truly the great healer. I think He inspired the invention of Tami-flu, too.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
Jesus is good, God is good, The Holy Spirit is good, they’re all good. Glad to hear that she is getting better.

And we are home, too late to adjust what I had posted. We are both getting better with the flu. We are praying that the A-Fib goes away once the flu is completely gone. But this has brought new light to the fragility of life. I grew up in a day when pneumonia and the flu killed a lot of people. I never knew that the flu could so easily trigger something else.

Thank you. We are home, but far from over this thing. And the doctors are lining up follow-up appointments, so we are well cared for. Really, the prayers are the best medicine.
