How Is Your Vision?

I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.  And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.

He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”

Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

  • Revelation 22:18-21

Welcome to 2020.  Seeing with 20:20 is ‘perfect’ vision, but is anyone seeing things perfectly?

If the media does not lie, they distort the news by only reporting things that match their agenda and reporting their opinions as if they were facts.  The reader, watcher, or listener should beware and study what is going on.

Each time we have a big controversy regarding our elected officials, it always works out that the American people, maybe people of any country, disrespect their leaders and lose trust in them, regardless of the individual’s side in the argument.  So, how can we see politics, government, etc. with any kind of confidence.

But the only vision that we need is that Jesus is coming.  Are we truly living in anticipation?  Have we fallen prey to those who have added their misinterpretations of the scroll, adding their own ideas to what the Apostle John saw when he wrote the last book in our present Bible?

Love as Jesus taught us to love.  Help others.  And keep the flame of the Holy Spirit lit.

Soli Deo Gloria.  Only to God be the Glory.

  1. Good points. I have one quibble: 20-20 vision is average vision, not perfect vision. If the second number is bigger than twenty, one must get closer to an object to see it clearly. If the second number is smaller than twenty, a person’s sight is better than average. Many athletes have vision that is 20-15 and sometimes even 20-10. J.

  4. Hope this will be a year of recovered health for you and your family. And I pray that God’s people will have perfect discernment in what they are seeing – and hearing in this important election year.
