Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
- Psalm 100:4-5
“We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country.”
- C.S. Lewis
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day in the USA. I know that I never say thank you enough. I think it is impossible to do so. We owe so much to God in just those things that are involuntary, like breathing, and unnoticed, like the near-miss auto accident that never happened.
Thinking of Thanksgiving Day in the USA, thanks to Steve Patterson at the Courageous Christian Father, although I have seen the video a lot since, I have discovered a new song by Matthew West. And you wonder if the year 2020 had an effect on people?
But Matthew West writes more serious songs, even about reasons for having Thanksgiving.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
And in watching television personalities share their reflections on thanksgiving… There are all nice and heart warming, but all are thankful “for.” I wonder how many people are thankful “to”? Thankful to God, that is.

I had not seen this before. What a stitch. We do have to take this time to think about all that God has blessed us with instead of all the negativity. Our only hope is in God alone. Happy Thanksgiving Mark to you and your lovely bride. May God continue to bless your ministry.
