This quiz may be quite obscure, or it may be quite easy.  If you are used to my quizzes, this one may be a bit worse on the whimsy meter.

The questions are really Bible verses with one word missing.  Within that word, there is a hidden word, that means a lot to me, personally.  Do not be hasty in drawing a conclusion.  Answer all the questions to form your idea of what the hidden word is.

(Note: there is a hyphenated word for this answer.)

I enjoy word puzzles.

There is one kind of puzzle that can be, at times, baffling, but this one should not be that bad.  The word puzzle that I refer to is where one word is hidden in a message.  It might be the latter few letters of one word and the first few letters of the next word.  Since only one word is missing in the fill-in-the-blank Bible verses, the answer is contained within that one word, thus not as baffling as it could have been.

By the way, this was a big hint.

Romans 1:30

There is far too much negativity in the world today.  I hate that.  Why is it that one person says that their favorite ice cream is vanilla and the strawberry ice cream loving person hates the vanilla ice cream loving person, and the person that hates ice cream (if there is such a person) hates both of the ice cream lovers?

Life is too short for such negativity.

And Jesus taught us a new commandment, to love one another.  Then the armchair lawyer parses the words “one another.”  Maybe Jesus only meant those within His hearing at the time.  Maybe Jesus only meant other believers, as those within His hearing were fellow believers.  No, elsewhere in the Gospels, Jesus taught us to love our enemies.  Not that vanilla ice cream lovers are my enemies.  I think something is severely wrong with them, but I will not call them enemies because their taste buds are defective, but…

I apologize for this strange rant, but before we get to the answers.  There are words in each of the featured Scriptures at the top of the post that also contain the hidden word.  Wow!  With so many things right out in the open that contain the hidden word, is the hidden word truly hidden?!?!

Romans 1:30God-haters

Did you think that the hidden word was “hate?”  Shame on you!!  I said that the hidden word is something that means a lot to me.  Then again, “hatred” does not have the letters of “hate” consecutively in the word, and “hating” does not have an “E” at all.  And then we get to the prophets and we talk of eggs hatching.  Hmmm.  The answer by that point cannot he “hate,” but it most definitely is “hat.”  Why is that something that means a lot to me?  This blogsite is hatrackley.com.  My nicknames have been over the years “hat”, “hats”, or even “hat rack.”

The mystery word is “HAT.”

Whether you did well on this quiz or, ummm, not so well, for the first video.  Here is a carpenter explaining how to make a hat rack.  Okay, he has no hats.  He has baseball caps that he calls hats.  Being the hat rack, I must make that distinction.  I own very few baseball caps, but I have a combination of hats and caps, but my caps range from a newsboy, to a Greek fisherman’s cap, to tam o’shanters, etc.  But my hats are things like fedoras, homburgs, bowlers, panamas, and such.  And my Australian Akubra is one of my favorites.

And here is First Love, sung by Kari Jobe.

And here is Cory Asbury singing, Reckless Love.

And here is Planetshakers, singing Perfect Love.
