This quiz is about “clean.” All the verses will have the word “clean” in them or a variant of the word, like unclean, cleanse, cleansing, etc.
I thought of this idea while doing the laundry. Many of the questions have to do with “first mentions.”

If you use the footnotes or cross references to baptism, you might find these verses, but “baptism” in the Old Testament was not a “cleansing of our sins.” Rather, it was a pledge to have a good conscience toward God. The Essenes especially used this as a purification process prior to worship.
Romans 6:4 says, “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”

It has been important to remain clean or to bathe since time began. Many helpful things, not necessarily ceremonial things, are mentioned in the Bible to keep our outer body clean as well as our inner body. It might be in cleaning ourselves or the food that we eat.
“Clean” in all its forms is found 176 times in the NIV.
But the greatest need for cleansing is to wash away the stain of sin, and only Jesus can do that.
