No Zen, Please!

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

  • Joshua 1:8

I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.

  • Psalm 119:99

I remember the days of long ago; I meditate on all your works and consider what your hands have done.

  • Psalm 143:5

In researching the etymology of the word “zen,” I found that zen is based on the Japanese pronunciation of a Middle Chinese word which is based on a Sanskrit word to contemplate or be in a meditative state.

These days, you will be verbally attacked in some circles for mentioning Jesus in public.  If we do not react in kind, we can take that as a badge of honor.  We have Satan worried to elicit such a reaction.

While this is done as a separation of church and state, “Zen” becomes a common word in our language, then the perpetrators of this antichrist attitude in the world are being inconsistent.  They speak of being inclusive as long as that inclusivity excludes Christianity.

I no longer get the leader in weather forecasting on my cable selections.  I no longer have to be offended by a “moment of Zen.”

But now, as I play puzzle games on my cellphone, I get thousands of ads.  They must know that I am male and old.  At least three of every four advertisements are about male enhancement methods or about games that I must play instead of the game that I am playing.  Those advertisements about games that I must play have the word “Zen” in the title.

No!  Why do the powers of evil behind this advertisement campaign focus on Zen?

I am offended in getting the advertisement.  There is no way that I would download the game, but they are using this brainwashing technique to equate … “You are old.  If your brain has not turned to mush now, it will soon.  Very soon.  You need to keep your brain active and the only way, the only way, yes, the only way is through this word game or other game and Zen meditation.”

No, God tells me that worshipping anything other than Him is a sin.  I refuse to even think about Zen.

And I think writing a blog against such evil keeps my mind just as clear and maybe more so.  For one thing, I have not subjected myself and given in to your mind control.

God speaks of meditation, but a carefully focused meditation.  Forgetting clearing your mind and saying some moaning expression to drown out all other things.

Meditate on God’s Holy Word.  Cherish His precepts.  Love God and love the people you are near.

No meditative state on this earth can accomplish anything in itself.  Only God can penetrate our soul and set us free.  And He only does so if we let Him do it.  Instead of some meditative state, quit fighting against God.  Lay down your arms and welcome His loving embrace.

Soli Deo Gloria.  Only to God be the Glory.
