“You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
- Exodus 20:16
“‘Do not steal.
“‘Do not lie.
“‘Do not deceive one another.
“‘Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.
- Leviticus 19:11-12
This post is in reference to a post from Tom at excatholic4christ.com. His post can be found HERE. He had commented on one of my posts that he was showing proof that the Christian Tech-Nerd was a fraud. I am thinking he saw comments I had made on “her” posts.
What Tom proved was that the photographs used in the post on the Christian Tech-Nerd (CTN) were all photos of a porn star. The porn star is listed as an ex-porn star and about 35 years old. These photographs all look like a young lady who is about 20-25 years old. So, what else is fake?
I am glad that Tom did the facial recognition work to identify of whom these photos were. I had read her/his blog posts and for someone as on fire for Jesus, why have so many photos of yourself? All photos were properly dressed but they exhibited her curves in many of them. But the multitude of photos were signs of narcissism, which belied the words written in the posts. But we all have our problems.
I had also noticed that young ladies had much better growth potential with their blogsites. If you were female and under thirty, and maybe even single, you would have more views and likes than I have ever gotten in eight years of blog posts, but only in a few months. I have seen new bloggers who were young ladies who had a few thousand followers in only a few months. I have over one thousand in eight years.
Another thing that bothered me was that CTN was extremely bold and very black and white. When she wrote about the television show, The View, she said words to the effect that no one who was going to heaven could ever work there. I agree, but not to the absolute. There might be a janitor, worried that if they knew, the janitor might lose their job. Then again, there is a lot of difference between the celebrities, the management, and the supporting people. I have worked for a company who targeted Christians, making them hide their Bibles, etc. while no one else had to do the same things regarding their religions. So, I disagree with the absolutes for that television show and the entirety of Disney Corp. (another post). I agreed with CTN’s stance on abortion. Rarely did I disagree, but whenever a stance was made, it was far out there.
As for the young lady blogger success, I even thought what would happen if I started a new blogsite, pretending to be such a young woman. But I realized that was Satan tempting me. It would be deceitful. And once someone discovered the deceit, can you trust what the person says?
So, the thought came and immediately went, but I thought of it as a reader of CTN, wondering if the entire setup was real. What if “she” was a frustrated male who deceived people to get “someone” to read his posts?
In standing up for your faith, CTN’s method is a bold way of doing so. But with the discovered fraud regarding the photos, is anything else real? I cannot say that the bold stance was bad, but there would be backlash. What tempered that bold stance was the solution always seemed to be many, many prayers. Focused prayers to fight each element of the evil that the post was about.
So is CTN male or female? There might be many options, but what if the back story of a tech nerd, offered a job in silicone valley, but turning it down to be near mom and dad, was the only deceit. A lot of people use younger photos of themselves.
I still use a photo of me sitting at the foot of the stairs with hats on the stairs behind me. Why do I use one eight-year-old photo of myself? Not for any vain purpose, but because my wife took the photo. It was taken about a year before she had open heart surgery, before all the other health problems that eventually took her life. It was one of the last times we had laughs with each other. And it might have been the last time she looked at me critically, wanting me to look my best for the picture. When you are fighting for your life, seeing someone at any angle is a blessing.
When you lose a spouse, you will understand how little things like the use of a photo are hard to give up. But the photo is eight years old, not quite ten years. Definitely not fifteen years.
But there is a possibility that CTN is the ex-porn star, and her becoming a Christian is what makes her bold, but she thinks no one would listen if she said she had been a porn star. And the older photos are for greater readership and a bit of vanity. We all have our sins.
But is that me trying to be forgiving? While I had my misgivings, I like what I had read. But then, most people think the Antichrist will be a religious leader who deceives the people into following him. And at this point, we have no idea if CTN is male or female. We have no idea what the end game is.
But there is a danger of people associating the CTN stance on things and equating that as bad when CTN is completely exposed as a fraud through and through. At this point, we know the photos are fake, and that put everything else into a large question mark as to whether to believe any of it. Could the posts be generated by AI? The posts do seem very organized. I am sort of disorganized, so I found that impressive.
So, why were we deceived? I have no idea.
And what was the end game? Big numbers of followers and daily views to have WordPress pay CTN more for advertisements? I do not know how that works since I put this site together to be free and free of advertisements.
But as Tom wrote in his post, I pray for the soul of the person acting as CTN, the Christian Tech Nerd. May you become as on fire for Jesus as your posts promote, and may you be honest with the rest of us.
Soli Deo Gloria. Only to God be the Glory.
Thanks for the thoughts and link to my blog post, Mark.
I also briefly considered that the CTN blogger in question might actually be former porn actress, Shyla Jennings, using old photos of herself, but I’m convinced it’s all a deception. CTN maintains “she’s” 24 ys/o and a recent college graduate. It’s a scam to bloat traffic on Wordpre$$ with the inevitable links to apocalypse/survival products that he/she often features.
It’s been awhile, but I once caught CTN in a blatant act of plagiarism. He/she copied an article and presented it as “her” own writing, but neglected to change the pronouns identifying the author as a male. I sent in my comment, but of course it wasn’t published. However, I did notice the pronouns were later changed to indicate a female writer.

I got taken in by this blogger too and though her pictures never claimed to be her, her posts were a refreshing change for a young Christian woman. After reading Tom’s post I deleted her from my followers. We have become so prone to doubt intentions quickly, yet it’s better yo be safe than sorry. As to these young women obtaining large stats, there must be a lot of young men out there in the blogosphere.
