The rest of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the food offerings presented to the Lord.

I said last week that google AI came up with ten memory verses.  They might not be my top ten, but as I populated the quiz tables, it looked frightening after five verses.  I said that I would finish this week.

The verses are not like the chosen verses above.  They are not from an apportionment of land, or detail instructions for the Levites, or part of a census.  Each of the verses in the quiz should be familiar.  Actually one of the “verses” is three short verses in a row that are usually quoted as one verse.

So here is a quiz that is fill in the blank and every other word is a blank.  A word list is provided.  The questions are in Biblical order, since this was the second half of the memory verses, they are all from the New Testament.  The word list is in alphabetical order.

Last week, I looked at the repeated words in the word list.

There are a lot of pronouns this time.  Most of these pronouns refer to us, rather than God.

Our salvation is free.  We can do nothing in that regard, but there are responses that are needed.  But even then, God helps in that regard also.  God gives us the heart to do good works, but He also gives what is necessary to do those works.

It is the way of any relationship.  There is give and take on both sides, but God gives so much that our giving in return, by doing good works, is puny compared to what He gives.

So, the next time you think you are not receiving from your spouse what you are getting in return, remember that God is recording your good works, but He is not keeping score on a scale.  In our relationship with God, we get more than we could ever give.  So, why keep a tote board between you and your spouse.  You are to love your spouse.  No tit for tat is necessary.

Now, if the spouse does absolutely nothing, you may need to keep the communication lines open.  And pray a lot.  My spouse got very sick and I did everything, but that was after a lifetime of her doing the giving.  I doubt if I ever caught up.  But balancing the checkmarks on a tote board is not the point.  Loving is the point, and the works pour forth from that love.

The other grouping of words that I thought were significant were the words all, always, and continually.

Back to the relationship analogy.  God is always there for us.  All could mean forever, or everyone, or simply no boundaries in God’s love.  It could mean that God is the only source for something, thus He provides all that we need of whatever it is.

God is always there and He continually looks over us.  So, we should constantly keep in contact with God.  We should always have our eyes on Jesus.

It is very comforting to know that God is always there for me.  And I see my weakness when I am not always there for Him.
