Sharing is Caring. I like the concept drawn here about raising a white flag. It provides the juxtaposition of white flags in battle with surrendering to Jesus. When we surrender in battle, we are defeated and imprisoned until the war is over, but with Jesus there is victory and freedom.
Today I was reading some article or watching something on TV and they were talking about the white flags that you wave when you say that you quit in total defeat. It’s when one side can’t handle the battle or war and they say “we quit.” It really got me to thinking. The white flag has the smell and feel that you are totally defeated. You can’t get away from it. It’s as if you are saying that your are no good and can’t deal with what is going on around you. You’re not up to the challenge Your giving in and can’t go any further.
