I do not think that I have done this before, but I think it might be fun.  Either fun or maddening.

I asked Google AI for the top five Bible verses that are memorized.  One was actually two verses, and I thought that might be too much.  The verses that I kept were all about God’s promises to us.  The one that I added is about our lack of perfection.  You combine those two ideas, and you get a glimpse into God’s Love.

The quiz is rather straight forward.  I was never good at filing.  And I often worked with administrative assistants that refused to file documents, making the ISO certification very hard to keep.  So, if you were to be that kind of an office worker, what would you do with the words in these five Bible verses?

You would file them alphabetically.  What other way would you do it?  Thus, these often memorized verses have not been “scrambled” at all.  The words have been reorganized in alphabetical order.

The questions are in Biblical order.  One verse starts a psalm that is often memorized.  One comes from a major prophet.  One is spoken by Jesus.  And the last two are from Pauline letters.

If there was a comma, period, or quotation mark adjacent to a word, I left it there, but sometimes the Bible verse that is memorized does not start the quotation.  If a word is capitalized, I left it capitalized.  But the verse that I added about our imperfection does not start with a capitalized word, and it is the only verse out of the five verses that does not end with a period.  No verse out of these five has more than one period.

I could have made this more diabolical by taking out punctuation and making all of the words lower or upper case.

I apologize that all these verses are from the NIV.  I apologize in that I personally memorized at least four of the five from the KJV.

It’s a perfectly good pair of verses, but scrambling 29 words is a bit too much.

Okay, two of the verses that were chosen had 29 and 26 words to unscramble.  I do think the 29 word scramble is the least memorized of these five.

Our lives seem scrambled at times, but God has His eyes upon those who love Him.

These verses were not simply scrambled.  The words were placed in alphabetical order.

We may think that our plans are sound plans, and things should work out, but they don’t.

We ask God why.

And maybe God’s answer is that we had done a fine job of planning things and organizing things to assure success of that plan, but His plan was based on a different set of criteria.

When our plans coincide with God’s plans, things tend to fall in place.

In looking over my life, there were bright spots because I kept thinking that God had this wonderful plan, and those bright spots were God winks, as they call them.  But life has been much better defined now that I feel that I am on the path God chose for me.  And He is using all those missed directions to make the rest of my life more glorious.
